One phone call begins the whole process. Ontario Health atHome does the assessment and most of the paperwork. Free, anywhere in the province.

Accommodation rates are public and set by the province. Every licensed home charges the same for the same room type, so the only rate difference you will see here is bed class. Beds admitted before 1 July 2015 are grandfathered at lower semi-private and private rates. What genuinely differs between homes is which rooms they offer, their waitlist, location, language and specialised units.
Waitlists change daily and Ontario does not publish them live. There is no public availability feed for long-term care in this province, so we do not pretend to have one. The figures below are the most recent published counts; the call button goes straight to the home, which is the only place a current answer exists.
